I blog on Wednesdays because my son Reece was born and died on a Wednesday. Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at 7:30 am. One of these days I am going to get around to telling his complete birth story, but I am not there quite yet. Early on in my grief process Wednesday was always a marker of time--another week since Reece was gone. Now I blog on Wednesdays because this has become the day that I choose to publicly remember and acknowledge my son. I wear anchors on Wednesday as his symbol and to remind me that I always have hope on my side. And hope is a powerful weapon when you're fighting grief.
